Breakdown of a Fangirl's Thought Process

So, we all know (or are) that one friend that gets overexcited about things. Sometimes, they squeal.

Or sometimes their faces get red so much they start stomping on the floor in an attempt not to scream from how ecstatic they are.

Things a fangirl typically does:
- Write fanfics on her free time
- Daydreams love stories with fictional characters
- Spends a hours looking up shirtless pictures of Jimin from BTS (wait, omg that's probably just me)
- They'll binge watch videos of their favorite bands, shows, or whatever thing they have targeted as their latest obsession. WATCH JUST ONE VIDEO? PSH THATS FOR NOOBS

(as a side note, otakus are basically people who have no life and center their lives around their obsessions- IT DOESN'T HAVE TO SPECIFICALLY BE A FAN OF ANIME)

So here, Mercedes, your suave professor, shall show you what it means to be a fangirl.

1) Being a fangirl doesn't mean that you're crazy, or over obsessed.
It just means that you show your excitement more than other people. Personally, I think that wearing your emotions on your sleeve is actually cute. It shows that you actually care about things, and it'd be kind of endearing to give a fangirl a gift because you know they'd show how much they'd love it.

2) Fangirls aren't born, they are made 0-0
My backstory when it comes to being a fangirl is possibly the same one for most. I really liked this show I was watching and wanted more. In-between seasons, I usually had nothing to watch, so I started looking stuff up. I found an incredible fanfiction by mermaidstear on fanfiction.net and got immediately hooked.
And pretending I got to date my biggest fictional crush ever was the BEST THING IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE.
I got so hooked, in fact, that I started to write my own on a separate website. I don't think I ever had so much fun than when I started making up my own stories.

IN OTHER WORDS, US FANGIRLS WILL BE YOUR FUTURE BESTSELLING AUTHORS HAHA.

3) Fangirls know they're fangirls. We're delusional, but not as delusional as you think
I think that fangirls more than anything, crave affection. We're trying to fill that void inside of us with fanfiction, dating sims, and obsessive behavior towards things such as kpop and idols that we may like. Ultimately, we're just lonely. (again, maybe that's just me again).

I hate the fact that alot of people look down on fangirls. Honestly, everyone is different and NO ONE should be brought down for their way of acting. If everyone was calm and composed, life would be boring. In fact, I don't like getting excited about something and the other person doesn't get as excited. Serious people are cool, but come on, SMILE sometimes.

Fangirls that fangirl together, stay together. I think we're generally happier in the face of disaster, so BY DEFAULT WE WILL HAVE A LONGER LIFE SPAN.

Lmao cx this is just the way I view people who get overexcited, and again, anyone and everyone is entitled to a different perspective.
